Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Urai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timothy Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urai comes to the cage accompanied by Sever the Wicked. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Urai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Timothy Robinson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robinson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robinson advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on Urai's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Robinson tries to move to full mount but Urai actually manages to regain half guard.
Robinson stalling away here and it's allowed Urai to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Robinson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Urai is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Urai has escaped and now he's on top!


Robinson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Urai defends well.
Urai controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Urai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robinson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Robinson has a hand on Urai's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Urai takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Robinson tries to roll over but Urai keeps him under control.
Robinson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Urai has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Urai has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Robinson's body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
I really don't envy Robinson right now.

That's time! Urai's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Urai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Robinson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Robinson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Urai sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Robinson somewhat.

Urai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Robinson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Urai defends it well.
Timothy Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Robinson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Urai tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Robinson is in Urai's guard.

Robinson is looking to take a break and control but Urai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Robinson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Robinson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Robinson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Urai turns into him and now he's in Robinson's guard.

Robinson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Urai defends well.

Robinson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Urai has picked Robinson up and slammed him! Robinson can't keep hold of the triangle and Urai manages to pass to side control!

Sam Urai overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Robinson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Urai really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Robinson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robinson dives in for a single leg takedown but Urai sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Urai lands a right hand that snaps the head of Robinson backwards.
Urai lands a nice uppercut.
Urai's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Urai will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Robinson up against the cage.

Urai lands a good knee to the midsection. Robinson won't want to take too many of those.

It looks like Timothy Robinson has been cut.
Robinson tries to score a body lock takedown but Urai shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Robinson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Urai is looking to escape.

Urai is trying to control Robinson's posture but Robinson avoids it.
We've been hearing good reports from Urai's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Robinson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Urai keeps working.

Robinson swings around for an armbar but Urai sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Robinson's guard.

Robinson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Urai is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Robinson.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Robinson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Urai off and has taken his back!
Urai is really stuck here.

Robinson has got his arm under Urai's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Urai has spun round into Robinson's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Robinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Urai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Robinson is tightening it up a little... Urai has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Urai reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Urai taps out! Nice BJJ there by Robinson!
