The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kyowa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Blair's half guard.
Blair controlling the position well.
Kyowa is keen to just control but Blair is a slippery customer.

Blair seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Blair bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kyowa's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blair working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kyowa's head.

Kyowa throws his legs up looking for a submission but Blair uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Eagle Kyowa has been cut.

Kyowa is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blair scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kyowa is trying to maintain the position but Blair is very close to passing his half guard.

Kyowa is fighting to break Blair's control of his arms but Blair is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kyowa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Blair is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Blair has escaped and now he's on top!

Blair is working Kyowa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kyowa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Blair escapes and throws Kyowa's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Blair cracks Kyowa with a big right hand but Kyowa just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That has opened up Eagle Kyowa's cut even more.

Eagle Kyowa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Eagle Kyowa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
