Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Graig Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Graig Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Miles! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miles looks to land a combination but Romero avoids it well. Romero drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Romero blocks the strikes from Miles.
Miles is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miles tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miles sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Miles is looking to control Romero's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miles avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles is trying to stand up here but Romero is controlling him well. Miles tries to get to full guard but Romero has control of the leg. Romero not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Romero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Miles tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Miles trying to control but Romero postures up.
Romero looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Romero takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miles wants to improve his position but Romero is controlling well.
Romero is trying to work for a kimura but Miles is defending well.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Miles is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Romero pulls his head out easily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Miles moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles lands a left hand.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Miles creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Miles gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Romero.
Romero tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Miles is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graig Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Miles wants to break the clinch but can't.

Miles shoots and misses and Romero counters by moving into the clinch. Romero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miles tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romero looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Miles! Miles struggling a bit here. Romero in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Miles is working to avoid the ground and pound but Romero connects with a decent elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Romero throws an elbow but Miles slips to the side and avoids it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miles is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miles closes the distance and clinches. Romero tries to break free but Miles pushes him back against the cage. Romero drags the fight down to the ground.

Miles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Miles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Miles trying to control the position from guard on top but Romero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Romero tries to strike from the bottom.

Romero ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Romero no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Romero keeping moving, preventing Miles from controlling successfully.

Romero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Romero wants to control but Miles is keeping him busy. Romero sitting and controlling from the half guard. Romero decides to return to a standing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles stuffs the takedown. Miles throws a right and a left that Romero avoids nicely. Miles closes the distance and clinches up with Romero, looking for a takedown. Miles pushes Romero against the cage but Romero circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Romero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Romero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Romero working the head and body with strikes. Romero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Romero in side control, throwing shots but Miles defends. Miles tries to buck Romero off but Romero is having none of it. Romero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miles trying his best to control but Romero has mounted him. Miles tries to hold on but Romero pushes him away. Romero breaks from Miles's wrist control and lands an elbow. Romero raining down shots from the mount! Romero punishing his opponent with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Romero dominating with strikes here. Romero with good strikes from the mount here! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Graig Romero dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miles. Romero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miles manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Miles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Romero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Miles's waist but Miles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romero off to one side. Miles is looking to clinch but Romero is avoiding it.
Miles shoots in and drives through. Romero sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miles fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Graig Romero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Miles. No luck for Miles with that takedown attempt. Miles takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Miles has his takedown stuffed and Romero counters with a low kick, right behind Miles 's knee.

Romero misses with a takedown attempt - Miles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Miles doesn't succeed with the takedown and Romero counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Romero. Romero turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Romero manages to end up in side control. Miles is looking for a sweep. Miles takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Romero landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Miles gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Romero not landing any meaningful shots this time. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Romero lands with a punch from half guard. Miles works his way to full guard. Good work. Romero keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Miles's head. Miles has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Romero has passed into side control.

And that's the end of the fight! Graig Romero showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Romero, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
