Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lucien Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Tinker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Park has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Phil Tinker has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lucien Park's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lucien Park! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Phil Tinker! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tinker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Park is fending him off so far but Tinker persists. Nope, Park circles away and we're back to standing. Tinker shoots in looking for a takedown but Park manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tinker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tinker moves into the clinch. Tinker dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Park prevents the takedown attempt.
Lucien Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Tinker. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tinker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Park successfully pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tinker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Park, up you get! Tinker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tinker closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Park is pressed up against the cage. Tinker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Park down to the mat. Park avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Tinker darts in looking for a takedown but Park gets double underhooks and turns Tinker into the cage. Park effectively controlling the action here. A bit of stalling here from Tinker.
Tinker pulls guard. Park tries to free his leg and advance position but Tinker is retaining full guard. Tinker is looking to sweep but instead, Park has passed into half guard.
Tinker wants to improve his position but Park is controlling well.
Park is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tinker regains full guard. Nicely done. Tinker is trying to keep Park in close.
Park knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tinker on the ground. Tinker managing to control the position. Park has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tinker controls Park momentarily but Park frees himself. Park wants to control from the top but Tinker keeps moving. Tinker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Park manages to get himself to full guard.
Tinker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tinker stands and steps away. Park gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tinker closes the distance and clinches. Park blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Tinker tries for a takedown but Park manages to get underhooks.

Tinker is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tinker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Park pulls him back up using the underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Tinker dominated that round. That's time! Park's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Park wants to clinch up but Tinker keeps it at a distance. Park slaps away a takedown attempt from Tinker, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tinker has a takedown stuffed. Tinker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Park avoids the head kick by Tinker.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tinker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Park stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tinker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lucien Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Tinker. Tinker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Park as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tinker closes the distance and clinches up with Park, looking for a takedown. Tinker pushes Park against the cage but Park circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tinker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Park swivels and escapes. A big left from Tinker misses. Park instigates a clinch. Park escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tinker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Park as he avoids it easily. Tinker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tinker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Park ducks under a wild hook from Tinker. Park tries to keep at a distance but Tinker has taken the fight into the clinch. Tinker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Park has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Tinker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tinker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tinker fails to pull guard.
Park scores with a hook to the body. Park lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tinker preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Park missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Tinker is trying to maintain the position but Park is very close to passing his half guard. Park could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Park is trying to work for a kimura but Tinker is defending well.
Tinker manages to escape and get back to his feet! Tinker scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tinker decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Tinker throws a body shot but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lucien Park will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Tinker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tinker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Park did well to prevent Tinker getting side control. Tinker frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tinker trying to control but he's not successful this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tinker unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tinker controlling from mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tinker connects with a bit shot that sees Park covering up! More strikes from Tinker and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Tinker is our winner by TKO!
