Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Eel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Wietrzny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wietrzny is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hunter-Fallen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Eel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Igor Wietrzny! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wietrzny lands with a cross. Wietrzny tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Eel tries for a takedown but Wietrzny sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Wietrzny steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Eel. Eel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wietrzny pushes off an throws an elbow but Eel leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A short right from Wietrzny. A nice left hand lands by Wietrzny.
Wietrzny throws a knee to the head but misses.
Eel blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stalling in the clinch from Wietrzny.
Wietrzny wants to break the clinch but can't.
Eel is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wietrzny is defending well. Wietrzny is trying to stall.
Wietrzny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eel checks a low kick from Wietrzny. Excellent takedown into side control there by Eel. Eel scoring with punches from side control. Wietrzny is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Eel is controlling him well. Wietrzny managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Eel.
Wietrzny gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Wietrzny actively working from the bottom here. Eel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wietrzny's head. Eel throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Wietrzny to regain full guard. Wietrzny throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wietrzny is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wietrzny is trying to control the position but Eel postures up. Wietrzny might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Eel haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. This has been an exciting period of action! Wietrzny working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wietrzny escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Eel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wietrzny is on top in guard.
Eel wants to stand but Wietrzny is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eel keeping moving, preventing Wietrzny from controlling successfully. Wietrzny controlling from the top position. Eel keeping moving, preventing Wietrzny from controlling successfully. Wietrzny missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Eel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wietrzny won't allow Eel to sweep him here. Eel keeping moving, preventing Wietrzny from controlling successfully. Wietrzny postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Eel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wietrzny. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wietrzny accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wietrzny working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Eel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Eel tries to get out of the position. Wietrzny wants to control from the top but Eel keeps moving. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Eel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wietrzny on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Wietrzny ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Eel moves away. Eel attempts a counter takedown but Wietrzny avoids it well and moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Igor Wietrzny dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Eel shoots in but Wietrzny avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wietrzny wants to counter the offense by Eel and move into the clinch position. Wietrzny throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wietrzny fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Eel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Eel shoots in but Wietrzny avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wietrzny is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wietrzny cracks the inside of Eel's front leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eel fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Eel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wietrzny paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Eel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wietrzny connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wietrzny moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Eel tries for a takedown but Wietrzny manages to get underhooks.

Eel is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wietrzny's half guard. Eel looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Wietrzny makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wietrzny. Eel is sitting in close to Wietrzny's body. Wietrzny has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Eel is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Eel is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Wietrzny.
