Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Steel Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steel Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Weston! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Penn lands. Penn tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Weston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Weston swats away the attempt to clinch by Penn. Weston tries a quick counter leg kick but Penn is wise to it. Penn tries to clinch up. Weston raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Matt Weston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Weston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Penn wants to clinch up but Weston keeps it at a distance. Penn motions for Weston to come forward. Penn throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Weston throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Weston scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Weston tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penn was well out of range. Poor timing from Weston. Penn clinches up with Weston and pushes him back against the ropes. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Weston. Weston pushes Penn back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Weston avoids the elbow strike from Penn, against the ropes.
Weston tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Weston blocks an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weston creates a bit of space and cracks Penn with an uppercut that drops him to the canvas! Penn is wobbled and seems to be struggling to get back to his feet. 3,4,5. He's up! Phew, his manager will be relieved but they're no doubt wondering whether he'll be able to recover properly and get back in the fight! Penn wants to clinch. Weston misses with a low kick.
Penn tries to clinch but Weston moves away and Weston counters with a right hand to the body. Weston jabbing away but nothing is landing. Penn throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Weston's coach down at Evil Empire: †AWAKENING† was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Weston's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Penn avoids the body shot from Weston.
Penn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Weston feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Penns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Weston swings for the body but Penn moves out of range.

Penn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Weston.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn scores with a spinning back kick! Weston walks into a stiff left hand from Penn. Penn is looking to clinch but Weston is avoiding it.
Weston closes the distance and clinches. Penn misses with a punch to the body.
Weston lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Penn backwards. Weston lands a hook that snaps the head of Penn backwards. Weston lands a left hand.
Penn blocks a body shot from Weston. Weston throws a punch but it's blocked by Penn. Penn using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Weston has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Weston scores with an uppercut up the middle. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Penn struggles to land a body shot inside as Weston controls his hands.
Penn makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Weston doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Penn lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Matt Weston should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
An inside leg kick lands from Weston. Weston lands a nice looking body shot.
Weston ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Penn moves in looking to clinch but Weston pushes him off. Weston shapes to counter with a head kick. Weston avoids the head kick by Penn.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Penn, as that shot connected.
Weston swats away the attempt to clinch by Penn. Weston takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Weston throws a leg kick but Penn moved away. As Weston backs away, Penn returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good standup being displayed there by Weston as he connects with a hook. Weston misses with a two punch combination.

Weston takes the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn tries to throw a body punch but Weston avoids it by throwing Penn back against the ropes. A head punch blocked on the inside by Penn. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Weston creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Weston lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Penn blocking some punches.
Weston misses with a hook to the ribs.

Penn throws a head punch that misses. Weston lands with a light punch inside. Weston misses with some punches.

Penn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Penn tries to clinch there but Weston circles away.
Weston has managed to clinch.
A short uppercut from Weston. Weston trying to stall but Penn improves his position.

Penn throws a punch but it's blocked by Weston. Weston goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Penn pushes Weston back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Weston lands with a left to the head. Matt Weston seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Weston misses with some punches.
Weston is trying to maintain a safe position but Penn gets an underhook and turns Weston into the ropes. Good body shot from Weston.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Weston takes that one, thanks to the knockdown. That's time! Penn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Penn swats away the attempt to clinch by Weston. Penn lands a leg kick that knocks Weston off balance momentarily. Penn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Weston. Jab, jab by Weston - just one landing. Weston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Weston cracks Penn with a right hand to the side of the head. Weston has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Penn fails in his attempt to clinch. Penn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weston keeps the fight on the outside. Weston lands a right and a left and another right! Penn goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
