Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zdzislaw Witczak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Pondingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Douglas Pondingham! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pondingham fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Witczak misses with an uppercut. Pondingham saw that one coming. Pondingham lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Zdzislaw Witczak has been cut. Witczak closes the distance and pushes Pondingham back into the cage. Pondingham wants a takedown.

My spies in The Fortress inform me that Pondingham has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Pondingham working away. Witczak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Witczak is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Pondingham is controlling him well. Pondingham is working Witczak over with some ground and pound from side control. Pondingham is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Witczak takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Pondingham shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Witczak as he jumps to the side. Pondingham throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Douglas Pondingham comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pondingham has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
