Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denard Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Blyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blyer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eye Of The Tiger. Denard Black could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rocky Blyer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

24 - 16 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denard Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

32 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Blyer!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a hook but Blyer blocks it.
Black will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Black throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Blyer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Denard Black has been cut.
Blyer wants to clinch up but Black keeps it at a distance.
We've been told by Black's head coaches at Warrior MMA and Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Blyer misses with a punch on the inside.
Black wants to break free but Blyer has control.
Black has had enough of the clinch but Blyer keeps him there for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blyer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Blyer struggles to land a body shot inside as Black controls his hands.
Black prevents a body shot from Blyer.
Black's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Black cracks Blyer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Rocky Blyer has been cut.
Black misses with a combination
and Blyer counters with a right hand to the body.
Black scores with the left hand. Blyer knows he should have avoided that one.
Blyer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A little feinted left hand from Black on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Black throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
The fighters circling - Black throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Blyer darts in trying to clinch
and Black counters with a stiff right hand.
Blyer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Black.
Blyer moves into the clinch.
Blyer tries a body shot but Black blocks it.
Blyer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blyer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Blyer lands an uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Black manages to break the clinch.
Blyer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Black's head.
Black takes a swing at Blyer's ribcage but misses.
Black connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Black throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Blyer on the side of the head.
Black cracks Blyer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Blyer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Black finish him?
Blyer is rocked!
Blyer closes the distance and clinches.
Blyer is still on wobbly legs! Can Black finish him?
Blyer scores with a nice hook to the head.
Blyer seems to have recovered his senses.
Blyer gets through Black's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Black breaks the clinch.
Blyer clinches with his opponent.
Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Black is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blyer.
Black scores with the left hand. Blyer knows he should have avoided that one.
Blyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Black swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Blyer moves into the clinch.
Blyer swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Blyer lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Blyer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Blyer presses Black against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
A frustrated look appears on Black's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blyer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Black's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Blyer tries to clinch up.
Blyer lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Black goes down and covers up as Blyer starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rocky Blyer!
After the fight, Rocky Blyer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
