The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Newman is trying to get an arm triangle but Romanov is defending well.
Newman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Romanov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Newman but great work by Romanov.
Romanov trying to control the action but Newman is working from the bottom.
Romanov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Newman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newman looks to move to half guard but instead Romanov has passed into mount! Damn!

Romanov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Newman is rocked!
It looks like Nate Newman has been cut.
Romanov postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Newman out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Romanov goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
