Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ahmad Salinas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oscar Dos Larres! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salinas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dos Larres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salinas somewhat. Dos Larres shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Salinas but Salinas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dos Larres misses with a double jab.
Dos Larres scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dos Larres wants to free his trapped foot but Salinas is holding on for dear life with his legs. Dos Larres thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Salinas's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salinas tries to roll over but Dos Larres keeps him under control. Salinas regains full guard. Nicely done. Dos Larres throwing strikes but missing. Dos Larres wants to control from the top but Salinas keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dos Larres trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dos Larres throws a leg kick but Salinas sees it coming and moves out of range. Salinas gets tackled into the cage by Dos Larres. Dos Larres maintains the clinch. Dos Larres escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Salinas tries to keep at a distance but Dos Larres has taken the fight into the clinch. Dos Larres is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Salinas to keep the fight standing. Dos Larres scores with a nice hook to the head.

Salinas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Salinas stops Dos Larres from standing up. Dos Larres is trying to hold Salinas in close to prevent damage but Salinas has managed to pass into half guard.

Oscar Dos Larres has got the better of the ground game so far. Salinas distracts Dos Larres with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dos Larres wants to stand but Salinas is controlling the position. Salinas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Salinas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dos Larres has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dos Larres keeping moving, preventing Salinas from controlling successfully. Dos Larres is trying to control the position but Salinas postures up. Salinas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dos Larres trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. No luck for Dos Larres with that takedown attempt. Dos Larres shoots in but Salinas avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dos Larres moves into the clinch successfully.

Dos Larres throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Salinas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Salinas. Dos Larres wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Dos Larres pulls Salinas in close to prevent any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Dos Larres showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Horrible takedown attempt by Salinas or perhaps it was just good defense by Dos Larres, which made it look bad. The fight moves into the clinch position. Salinas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dos Larres is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Salinas knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Salinas for a finish. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dos Larres avoiding Salinas 's attempts to control his hands. Dos Larres tries to get the hooks in deep but Salinas pushed the leg off.

Dos Larres seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Salinas's chin but Salinas turns very nicely into Dos Larres's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Salinas.

Ahmad Salinas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oscar Dos Larres is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dos Larres is defending against the submission attempts here by Salinas.
And that's the end of the fight! Oscar Dos Larres comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dos Larres has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Oscar Dos Larres! After the fight, Oscar Dos Larres was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
