Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samir Oliva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Bessac!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliva thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bessac if he has to take too many more of those.
Oliva moves out of range of the body kick from Bessac.
Bessac throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bessac takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Oliva. Bessac shrugs it off though.
Bessac tries to clinch there but Oliva circles away.
Oliva lands a leg kick that knocks Bessac off balance momentarily.
Bessac looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bessac shoots for a takedown but Oliva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Oliva - that will leave a mark!
Bessac looks winded!
Bessac tries to clinch but Oliva moves away
and Oliva counters with an inside leg kick.
Bessac tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Oliva scores with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Oliva counters with a nice kick to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bessac crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Oliva - the referee stops the clock and Bessac gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Oliva. Bessac manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Oliva lands a leg kick that knocks Bessac off balance momentarily.
Oliva lands a big head kick that sends Bessac tumbling to the mat! Oliva takes a step backwards and waves Bessac back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Bessac is rocked!
It looks like Scott Bessac has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oliva feints a jab and as Bessac dips his head, Oliva unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Bessac right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Bessac falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Oliva smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Samir Oliva!
Samir Oliva decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
