Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marshall Lee! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Farias blocks the body kick.
De Farias takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for De Farias on that attempt. Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. De Farias looking to land some kicks to the body here.
De Farias ducks under a wild hook from Lee. De Farias takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lee has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as De Farias is landing a low percentage of strikes. Lee avoids the head kick by De Farias.

Lee pushes down on De Farias's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lee wants to take a breather but De Farias is having none of it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lee seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lee wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and De Farias is now in half guard. De Farias wants to stand but Lee has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. De Farias stands up from half guard. De Farias defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee throws the left hand but De Farias avoids the punch easily. De Farias looking to score a takedown here. Lee is defending well but De Farias drives through and ends up in Lee's guard. Lee looking to control.
Lee throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! De Farias escapes and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control! De Farias tries to stand but Lee is controlling his head. Lee tries to improve position but can't. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. De Farias throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marshall Lee will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lee misses with a left hand and De Farias counters with a body kick that stops Lee in his tracks momentarily. De Farias on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. De Farias will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. De Farias decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lee trying to hold on to De Farias's head to control him but De Farias postures up.

Lee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lee throwing strikes from guard but De Farias blocks nicely. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

De Farias shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Farias's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edan De Farias. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. De Farias sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. De Farias drives through with a takedown into guard. Lee has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. De Farias doesn't defend quickly enough and Lee has managed to lock this one up! Can De Farias escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lee on a fantastic submission victory.
