PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Multtuli Margabiaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aster Roid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roid has chosen Awesome God as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Aster Roid was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roid cracks Margabiaru with an open hand slap.
Margabiaru has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Finland in the buildup to the fight.
Roid misses with an uppercut. Margabiaru saw that one coming.
Margabiaru throwing a counter right hand but Roid manages to avoid it.
Margabiaru ducks under a wild hook from Roid.
Roid throws a body kick that misses
and Margabiaru cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Roid closes the distance and clinches.
Roid throws a knee to the head but misses.

Margabiaru escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Roid tries to close the distance and clinch but Margabiaru swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No joy there for Roid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Margabiaru was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Roid paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Margabiaru swats away the attempt to clinch by Roid.

Roid fails with an attempt to clinch.
Margabiaru misses with a series of wild punches.
Margabiaru lands a right hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Margabiaru throws a jab when Roid was well out of range.
Roid is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Roid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Roid throws a nice outside leg kick.
Margabiaru stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Roid.
Margabiaru takes a swing at Roid's ribcage but misses.
Roid throws an overhand right that lands on Margabiaru's shoulder, as Margabiaru tries to avoid the shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Margabiaru misses the target.
Margabiaru connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Roid tumbling to the canvas! Margabiaru pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Roid was done - good stoppage!
