Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sol Rosenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aslanbek Buriev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rosenberg kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire. Buriev has chosen Korpiklaani - Vodka as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aslanbek Buriev! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosenberg gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rosenberg has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Buriev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rosenberg breaks from the clinch.
Sol Rosenberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rosenberg tries to clinch but Buriev is having none of it. Buriev drops his hands momentarily and Rosenberg takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rosenberg has Buriev up against the cage in a clinch.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Buriev showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rosenberg.
Rosenberg is breathing heavily. Buriev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Buriev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buriev clinches but Rosenberg breaks the clinch and Rosenberg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Buriev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rosenberg is one step ahead there. Buriev looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Buriev pulls Rosenberg in to control the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Buriev is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buriev stands up from Rosenberg's guard - Buriev perhaps looking for a knockout. Buriev stuffs the takedown attempt from Rosenberg. Rosenberg gets slowly back to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Buriev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Buriev showed some decent athleticism there. Rosenberg is looking to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Sol Rosenberg will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rosenberg keeping moving, preventing Buriev from controlling successfully. Buriev is in close to Rosenberg's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rosenberg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rosenberg wants to stand and escape but Buriev is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rosenberg wants to sweep here but Buriev controlling him for the moment. Buriev wants to control from the top but Rosenberg keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rosenberg looking to control but Buriev passes into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buriev with a poor takedown and Rosenberg counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rosenberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buriev as he jumps to the side. Buriev shoots in but Rosenberg avoids the takedown attempt easily. A combination from Rosenberg does no damage. Rosenberg tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Buriev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rosenberg swivels and escapes. Rosenberg drives through and clinches with Buriev against the cage.

Rosenberg lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Rosenberg scores with an uppercut up the middle. Rosenberg works on Buriev's body with a couple of short punches. Rosenberg lands a shot to the body. Rosenberg is leaning against Buriev and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosenberg's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Rosenberg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Buriev checks a low kick from Rosenberg. Rosenberg tries to clinch up. Rosenberg looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buriev shoots and misses and Rosenberg moves into the clinch. Rosenberg scores with a nice hook to the head. Buriev keeps control of Rosenberg as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rosenberg wants a takedown but no success here.
Rosenberg is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Rosenberg misses with a hook from the clinch. Buriev tries to pull guard but Rosenberg won't allow it.

Aslanbek Buriev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Rosenberg clinches up with Buriev and pushes him back against the cage. Rosenberg lands a body shot in the clinch.
Rosenberg has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Buriev clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Buriev looking very determined here, making life difficult for Rosenberg.
Rosenberg is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rosenberg is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rosenberg has good solid back control here. Buriev trying to control but not successfully. Buriev is keeping busy.

Rosenberg is looking to stand up but Buriev isn't so interested in that idea. Aslanbek Buriev has got the better of the ground game so far. Buriev is taking a break and basically stalling. Buriev's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Buriev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Buriev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Buriev is looking to take a break and control but Rosenberg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buriev seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rosenberg trying to hold on to Buriev's head to control him but Buriev postures up.
