Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hyde!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hyde looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hyde stops Filho from passing to mount.
Filho tries for a kimura but Hyde is defending well.

Hyde parries the strikes from Filho easily there. Filho is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hyde to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Filho drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hyde looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hyde looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hyde!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Filho throws a series of punches but Hyde avoids them all with ease.
We've been informed that Hyde has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Filho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hyde.
Filho is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hyde can do to turn this around?
Hyde has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Hyde gets tackled into the cage by Filho. Filho maintains the clinch.
Filho wants to take the fight to the mat but Hyde manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Filho tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hyde is pressed up against the cage. Filho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hyde down to the mat. Hyde avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

No luck for Filho with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Filho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Filho closes the distance and clinches up with Hyde, looking for a takedown. Filho pushes Hyde against the cage but Hyde circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hyde shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Filho napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Filho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hyde keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
