Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Jasshole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Tinker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugh Jasshole could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phil Tinker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Jasshole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Phil Tinker! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jasshole fails with a takedown attempt. Tinker slaps away a takedown attempt from Jasshole, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tinker rushes Jasshole and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tinker tries to stall but Jasshole uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Tinker pulls guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jasshole trying to control the position from guard on top but Tinker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tinker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jasshole puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Tinker tries to get to full guard but Jasshole has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jasshole not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tinker won't allow Jasshole to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Well, if Jasshole is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jasshole trying to control from half guard but Tinker is working away. Tinker is trying to stand.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tinker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tinker looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tinker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jasshole.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jasshole instigates a clinch. Jasshole breaks the clinch.
Jasshole fails with the takedown and Tinker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hugh Jasshole. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jasshole with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Phil Tinker has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jasshole successfully pulls guard.
Jasshole is adopting a defensive guard. Tinker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jasshole is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We've been hearing good reports from Jasshole's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Tinker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jasshole is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jasshole is trying to control the position but Tinker postures up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jasshole gets a clinch. We've been informed that Tinker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A shot in the inside from Jasshole. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jasshole breaks from the clinch.
Tinker tries to clinch up but Jasshole circles away and keeps his distance. Jasshole lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Jasshole shoots in looking for a takedown. Tinker tries to sprawl out of it but Jasshole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tinker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jasshole fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jasshole tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tinker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jasshole wants to clinch up but Tinker keeps it at a distance. Jasshole changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tinker tries to avoid it but Jasshole manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tinker to the ground. Tinker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tinker feints the counter takedown. Tinker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jasshole defends well and Tinker ends up having to push Jasshole into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jasshole keeps the fight on the outside. Tinker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jasshole. Jasshole looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jasshole fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jasshole shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jasshole prevents Tinker from improving his position. Jasshole seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tinker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jasshole looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Jasshole wants to work for an arm triangle but Tinker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jasshole will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jasshole is thwarting Tinker's attempts to control the position. Jasshole passes the guard and advances to mount! Tinker is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jasshole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tinker can do to turn this around? Jasshole can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tinker is looking to escape. Jasshole controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tinker wants to control but Jasshole is having none of it. Tinker bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tinker wanted to stand there but Jasshole had control of the position. Tinker stands and throws Jasshole's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jasshole holding on. You can see the frustration on Jasshole's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jasshole fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jasshole will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tinker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jasshole has his takedown stuffed and Jasshole takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hugh Jasshole. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jasshole shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tinker as he jumps to the side. And Tinker tries to counter it with a takedown but Jasshole pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jasshole misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tinker throws a big shot that misses. Jasshole with a poor takedown letting Tinker counter with a right hand. Jasshole shoots for a takedown but Tinker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jasshole sets himself, and Tinker steps forward looking for the clinch! Jasshole avoids it this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tinker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It seemed like Tinker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. The fight stays on the outside here - Tinker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jasshole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tinker is fending him off so far but Jasshole persists. Nope, Tinker circles away and we're back to standing. And Tinker tries to counter it with a takedown but Jasshole pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jasshole dives in and grabs Tinker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tinker pushes down on Jasshole's head and hops out. The fight stays on the outside here - Jasshole looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tinker rushes Jasshole and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jasshole wants to break the clinch but can't.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tinker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jasshole throws a knee to the head but misses.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tinker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Jasshole wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tinker has him pressed against the cage. Jasshole is working for takedown but Tinker is calmly controlling the position for now. Hugh Jasshole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tinker jumps guard but Jasshole stands there with Tinker around his waist. Tinker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tinker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jasshole smiles and moves away.
Hugh Jasshole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jasshole has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jasshole is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tinker to keep the fight standing. Jasshole jumps guard but Tinker stands there with Jasshole around his waist. Jasshole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jasshole creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tinker's defenses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jasshole manages to break the clinch.
Jasshole shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tinker sprawls well. Tinker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jasshole gets slowly back to his feet. Tinker counters with a body kick. Jasshole tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tinker swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jasshole closes the distance and clinches. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jasshole pulls Tinker into guard.
