Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Martins! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morrison shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martins as he jumps to the side. Martins should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Martins tries to keep at a distance but Morrison has taken the fight into the clinch. Morrison looking for a takedown. Martins misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Morrison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nice body punch from Martins - that landed with a thud.
I was talking to Morrison's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Martins lands a left hand.
Martins lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morrison wants to take the fight to the mat but Martins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sid Morrison. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morrison goes for a takedown attempt but Martins pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Morrison shoots and misses and Martins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Martins moves in looking to clinch but Morrison pushes him off.

Martins wants to clinch but Morrison slips to the side and Morrison counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Morrison. Morrison throwing strikes but missing. Martins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Morrison controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Martins tries to land a sweep but no joy. Morrison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Martins keeping moving, preventing Morrison from controlling successfully.

Morrison preventing the sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Martins can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Martins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Morrison has his takedown stuffed and Martins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morrison looks for a takedown but Martins sprawls well. Morrison gets tackled into the cage by Martins. Martins maintains the clinch. Martins lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Morrison backwards. Morrison drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Martins tries to throw a body punch but Morrison avoids it by throwing Martins back against the cage. Morrison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Martins gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Martins scores with a shoulder strike. Nice body punch from Martins. Morrison jumps guard but Martins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A right hook to the body lands for Martins.

Morrison is working for takedown but Martins is calmly controlling the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Martins can't find room to land a body shot as Morrison controls the action.
Morrison has Martins pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Martins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Morrison fails to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martins tries to clinch but Morrison moves out of range. Morrison tries for a takedown but Martins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Morrison keeps the fight on the outside. Martins fails with an attempt to clinch.
Morrison shoots in but Martins avoids the takedown attempt easily. Morrison circles away from the clinch attempt and Morrison counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Martins has eaten all the pies! Morrison is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martins wants to control but Morrison is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Morrison maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Martins could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Morrison has cracked it and Martins is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Morrison!
