Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Kong Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chen Stormstoud!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stormstoud tries for a takedown but Dong circles away easily
and Dong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Chen Stormstoud has been cut.
Stormstoud tries to close the distance and clinch but Dong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stormstoud takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dong has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Dong scores with a body shot.
Dong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Stormstoud takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stormstoud looks winded!
Dong lands a big uppercut and Stormstoud crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Stormstoud looks OK. Dong waves Stormstoud back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dong cracks Stormstoud with a left hook right on the temple and Stormstoud goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Dong lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Stormstoud is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). King Kong Dong!
King Kong Dong got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
