Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obtuse Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obtuse Angle has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Obtuse Angle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Slice! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slice shoots in for a takedown but Angle shows good takedown defense. Angle stuffs the takedown. Slice fails with the takedown. Obtuse Angle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Slice. Slice fails with the takedown. Slice fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Angle sprawls well initially but Slice persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Slice prevents Angle from improving his position. Slice is controlling the pace.
Slice not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice seems to be working for a kimura but Angle defends the submission attempt. Angle looks like he's trying to stand up.
Angle tries to roll over but Slice keeps him under control. Slice is working for a kimura but Angle is defending it quite comfortably.
Angle wants to sweep but Slice has passed to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Slice wants to lay and pray for a moment but Angle keeps working. Slice thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee asks Slice politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Slice prefers to stall for the moment though. Angle tries to buck Slice off but Slice is having none of it. Slice is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Angle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Slice looks gassed! Slice scoring with punches from side control. Angle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slice on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angle tries to improve position but can't. Slice misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Slice in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slice is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Angle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Angle struggling a bit here. Slice tries to advance to mount but Angle denies him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Slice wants to lay and pray for a moment but Angle keeps working. Slice postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Angle throws a shot from downtown. Slice moves away and avoids it. Obtuse Angle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Slice misses with a two punch combination.
Slice looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Slice closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Slice lands in his opponent's guard. Slice stopping the sweep attempt from Angle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Slice dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Angle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slice swats him away and circles back towards the center. Slice throws a body punch but Angle moves out of range. Slice shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Angle pinned against the cage. Angle gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Angle is looking to score with low kicks. Ken Slice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Good standup being displayed there by Angle as he connects with a hook. Angle keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slice. Obtuse Angle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Slice. Slice is breathing heavily. Slice throws a combination. Angle tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Slice darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Slice not doing much here.
Angle is controlling Slice's trapped leg to prevent Slice from advancing to side control. Angle is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slice passes to side control. Slice trying to control the action but Angle is working from the bottom. Slice misses with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Angle, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slice throws a strike aimed at the side of Angle's head but Angle avoids it well. Slice cracks Angle with an elbow. That is naaassty. Angle throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Angle struggling a bit here. Angle stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Slice misses with the ground and pound.

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slice has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! An elbow from Slice crashes against the mat.
Slice wants to control but Angle is keeping him busy. Angle wants to control but Slice postures up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Obtuse Angle will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Angle scores with a jab. Slice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Slice ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Slice looks to score with a jab to the body but Angle is just out of range. Slice changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Angle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Slice trying to control the position but Angle is working away. Slice looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Slice takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Slice wants to control but Angle is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angle tries to bench press Slice off him but Slice keeps the position. Angle manages to work his way to half guard, despite Slice's best efforts. Slice throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Angle trying to control but Slice postures up.
Angle desperately trying to maintain half guard. Slice is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slice seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Angle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Slice is looking to advance position but Angle won't allow it. Angle trying to control here.
Slice is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Angle has managed to free his arm - good work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Angle misses with a straight left. Angle moves into range and connects with a jab. Angle scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Angle catches Slice with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Angle scores with a punch to the head. Slice on the wrong end of a nice jab. Angle throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Slice stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Slice has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Angle finds it's way round the side to connect with Slice's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big left from Angle misses. Angle missing with a left hand there. Slice was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Slice is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Slice shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Angle as he avoids it easily. Nice shot lands for Angle. Angle throws a jab but it's blocked by Slice. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Angle lands a glancing blow to the side of Slice's head. Slice looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Angle is fending him off so far but Slice persists. Nope, Angle circles away and we're back to standing.
And that's the end of the fight! Obtuse Angle showed his dominance in that final round. I think Angle has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
