Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby Dorsey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Olunga Higgins! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorsey digs a good body shot into Higgins's ribs. Higgins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Higgins moves into the clinch. Higgins manages to break the clinch.
Dorsey goes for a double leg but Higgins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Higgins continues to drive forward. Dorsey slowing the pace effectively. Dorsey can't break the clinch.

Dorsey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Dorsey keeping moving, preventing Higgins from controlling successfully. Higgins won't allow Dorsey to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dorsey holds on and takes a little breather. Higgins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dorsey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Higgins has managed to get both his arms back between Dorsey's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorsey is squirming around, avoiding Higgins's attempts to control the action. Dorsey tries to lock up and control but Higgins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dorsey tries to buck Higgins off but he can't manage it. Dorsey wants to control but Higgins is having none of it. Higgins won't let Dorsey get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Higgins is looking to stand but Higgins has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Dorsey regains half guard. Higgins looks winded! Dorsey controlling the position for now. Dorsey tries to kick Higgins off in order to stand up. Higgins Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Dorsey is trying to buck Higgins off.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Higgins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Dorsey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dorsey looking to control.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dorsey wants to stand and escape but Higgins is having none of it. Higgins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dorsey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dorsey controls Higgins momentarily but Higgins frees himself. Dorsey had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Higgins defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Olunga Higgins dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Higgins gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dorsey is trying to improve his position. Dorsey wants to control but Higgins postures up. Higgins prevents Dorsey from escaping the position. Higgins in side control, just content to control the action for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dorsey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Higgins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Higgins is breathing heavily. Dorsey tries to roll over but Higgins keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Higgins trying to control the action but Dorsey is working from the bottom. Dorsey is trying to stand up here but Higgins is controlling him well. Dorsey manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Higgins keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Dorsey wants to break free but Higgins has control.
Dorsey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Higgins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dorsey wants to control but Higgins is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorsey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dorsey is not content to let Higgins control the position. Dorsey gets back to full guard.
Dorsey wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Higgins is now in half guard. Higgins prevents Dorsey from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorsey is looking to control Higgins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dorsey avoid being mounted? Higgins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dorsey sees it coming and defends easily. Dorsey with the active half guard here but Higgins passes nicely into side control. Dorsey is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Higgins. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Higgins stops Dorsey from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dorsey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Higgins is controlling him. Dorsey managing to control the position. Dorsey scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Bobby Dorsey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Higgins moves into range and clinches up with Dorsey. Dorsey pulls guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Olunga Higgins will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
