Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Victory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Barao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Victory throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Victory fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barao, pushing him back against the cage.

Victory breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Victory shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barao pinned against the cage. Barao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Vincent Victory seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Victory throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barao's waist but Barao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Victory off to one side.

Barao is nestled in close to Victory, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Barao looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Victory with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

After the fight, Renan Barao was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
