Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Macdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sevs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macdonald's entrance music is Dmx X gonna give it to you. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Sevs or perhaps it was just good defense by Macdonald, which made it look bad.
Sevs is looking to clinch.
A punch combination from Sevs misses.

Macdonald tries to keep at a distance but Sevs has taken the fight into the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Sevs.

Sevs breaks from the clinch.
Macdonald throws an off balance right hand
and Sevs counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Macdonald looks to land a left hand but Sevs moved out of range nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sevs throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Macdonald stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Macdonald counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Macdonald is trying to control. Sevs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Macdonald connects with a nice short shot to Sevs's temple.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Macdonald is looking to take a break and control but Sevs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sevs ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sevs wants to clinch up but Macdonald keeps it at a distance.

Sevs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Macdonald got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sevs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Macdonald has managed to get both his arms back between Sevs's legs - danger averted.
