Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Mcknight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanns Hamish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Giovanni Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hanns Hamish!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcknight is looking to clinch but Hamish is avoiding it.
Mcknight closes the distance but Hamish moves to the side
and Hamish counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Hamish scores with a takedown into Mcknight's guard.
Mcknight can't keep his opponent in guard - Hamish advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hamish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mcknight has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hamish is working away from the top position though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcknight is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hamish pulls his head out easily.
Hamish takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mcknight tries to roll over but Hamish keeps him under control.
Hamish drops an elbow to the side of Mcknight's head.
Mcknight wants to improve his position but Hamish is controlling well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hamish is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mcknight defends it well.
Mcknight pushes Hamish off looking to stand but Hamish dives back in and keeps control.

Mcknight could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hamish tries to pass to full mount but Mcknight defends it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hamish throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mcknight was covering up waiting for the punch and Hamish finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hamish is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hamish is looking to stand up but Mcknight won't let him.
Hamish engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Let's hope that Hamish has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hamish lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hamish throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcknight tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hamish is in Mcknight's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hanns Hamish dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


No luck for Hamish with that takedown attempt.
Hamish throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hamish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcknight is fending him off so far but Hamish persists. Nope, Mcknight circles away and we're back to standing.

Mcknight stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Mcknight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hamish wants to hit a switch here but Mcknight passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hamish there!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcknight can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hamish is looking to escape.
Hamish is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hamish has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mcknight is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hamish has control of Mcknight's left arm, preventing Mcknight from doing any damage.
Hamish is continuing to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hamish pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hamish has closed the distance and engaged Mcknight in a clinch.
Hamish tries to break free but Mcknight pushes him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mcknight takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Hamish is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Hamish is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mcknight is defending well for now.

Hamish has Mcknight pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hamish pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mcknight tumbling to the mat - Hamish dives into Mcknight's guard.

Hamish wants to stand but Mcknight has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mcknight throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mcknight controls Hamish momentarily but Hamish frees himself.
Mcknight is really struggling to control Hamish but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Mcknight can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hamish controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mcknight tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hamish paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hamish displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcknight.
Hamish avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hamish closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hamish is trying to work for a kimura but Mcknight is defending well.
Hamish takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mcknight is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hanns Hamish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hamish has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
