Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Peltier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Haq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Abdul Haq enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roman Peltier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Abdul Haq! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peltier shoots in for a double leg but Haq sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Haq moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Peltier darts in and clinches Haq up against the cage. Haq has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Haq wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Haq prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Peltier. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peltier is looking to take this one to the mat. Peltier tries to throw a body punch but Haq avoids it by throwing Peltier back against the cage. Haq is trying to push Peltier away but Peltier has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot in the inside from Haq. Peltier changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Haq fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Haq stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Peltier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Haq circles away. Haq tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peltier swats him away and circles back towards the center. Haq jabbing away but nothing is landing. Haq tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Peltier moves forwards but Haq connects with a nice, crisp jab. Peltier looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Haq fails in his attempt to clinch. Peltier wants to clinch. Haq is looking to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Haq looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Peltier walks into a straight right hand from Haq. Abdul Haq seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haq connects with a crisp jab. Haq tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Peltier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Haq wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haq keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Haq instigates a clinch. A short left from Haq. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice right hand lands inside from Haq. A frustrated look appears on Haq's face as he tries to break the clinch. Haq has had enough of the clinch but Peltier keeps him there for the moment. Peltier jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Haq walks away with a smile on his face. Peltier gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Peltier uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Haq. Haq tries to clinch but Peltier moves out of range. Haq misses with a hook. Peltier ducked under it nicely. Peltier moves into the clinch successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Haq. Peltier lands a takedown into guard.
Peltier is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peltier seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Haq for as long as he can get away with. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peltier with a nice head shot there. Haq looks winded! Peltier engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peltier throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haq works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peltier controlling from the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Peltier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. A lull in the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Abdul Haq will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Peltier fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haq gets tackled into the cage by Peltier. Peltier maintains the clinch. Haq lands a shoulder strike. Haq is trying to break the clinch but Peltier is controlling him. Peltier turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Haq is trying to escape the position but Peltier is controlling the position. Peltier is trying to get an arm triangle but Haq is defending well. Haq is trying to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peltier is staying tight to Haq's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peltier continues to stall. Haq is breathing heavily. Peltier is trying to get an arm triangle but Haq is defending well. Haq is trying to escape the position but Peltier is controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Peltier shoots in for a takedown but Haq shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Haq throws an overhand right that lands on Peltier's shoulder, as Peltier tries to avoid the shot. Haq catches Peltier with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Peltier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Haq tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peltier is in Haq's guard. Peltier controls from within his opponent's guard. Peltier wants to pass the guard but Haq is keeping the position. Peltier is looking to work some ground and pound but Haq has wrist control. Peltier looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peltier advances to half guard. Peltier sitting and controlling from the half guard. Peltier's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. More hug and hope from Peltier.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Haq enables Peltier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Haq manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Peltier pushing down on Haq's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Peltier controlling the pace. Peltier has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Peltier is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Haq can do to turn this around? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peltier shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Haq manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Peltier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Peltier gets to his feet. Haq looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peltier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. No joy there for Peltier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Haq takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Peltier slips under a jab from Haq. Haq bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peltier's head backwards. Roman Peltier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Haq clinches with his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haq tries to break the clinch but Peltier is controlling the position. Haq throws a punch but it's blocked by Peltier. Haq misses with a punch on the inside.
Peltier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Peltier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Peltier passes the guard and advances to mount! Peltier looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Peltier cracks Haq with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Peltier breaks from Haq's wrist control and lands an elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Peltier content just to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Roman Peltier showed his dominance in that final round. I think Peltier has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
