Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vito Fletcher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trip Porter! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fletcher slaps away a takedown attempt from Porter, before circling back to the center of the mat. Porter looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Porter lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Vito Fletcher has been cut. Porter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fletcher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Porter lands with a shot to the body. Porter misses with a takedown and Fletcher counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Vito Fletcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trip Porter. Fletcher wants a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fletcher is trying to pull guard but Porter turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Fletcher jumps guard and drags Porter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Porter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fletcher not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Porter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fletcher works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fletcher trying to keep a closed guard but Porter is proving a slippery customer.
Porter is looking to work some ground and pound but Fletcher has wrist control. Fletcher might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fletcher is trying to control the position but Porter postures up. Fletcher throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Fletcher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Porter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fletcher controlling the pace. Fletcher could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Porter wants to improve his position but Fletcher is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Porter is not content to let Fletcher control the position. Porter is trying to control but can't.
Fletcher is keen to just control but Porter is a slippery customer. Porter is looking for a sweep. Fletcher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fletcher trying to control the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Porter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fletcher tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Porter blocks an uppercut.
Porter is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fletcher is defending well. Porter tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fletcher misses with some punches.
Fletcher fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fletcher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Porter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fletcher counters with a head kick. That will keep Porter thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Fletcher dives in and grabs Porter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Porter pushes down on Fletcher's head and hops out. Fletcher tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Porter defends well and Fletcher ends up having to push Porter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Fletcher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Porter is defended easily by Fletcher. Fletcher shoots in for a takedown but Porter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Porter throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vito Fletcher will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Vito Fletcher's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Fletcher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Porter throws a head kick that misses. Fletcher closes the distance and pushes Porter back into the cage. Porter working hard to break the clinch. Fletcher on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Porter throws a hook but Fletcher blocks it. Porter cracks Fletcher with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Porter is breathing heavily.

Porter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fletcher moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fletcher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Porter but Porter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Porter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vito Fletcher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Porter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fletcher keeps control of Porter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Fletcher is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fletcher tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Fletcher is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Porter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fletcher. Porter fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fletcher is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Porter to keep the fight standing. Porter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fletcher.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fletcher jumps guard but Porter stands there with Fletcher around his waist. Fletcher gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Porter is looking to break free of the clinch but Fletcher has double underhooks. Porter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fletcher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trip Porter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Vito Fletcher's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Porter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Porter tries to keep at a distance but Fletcher has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fletcher has Porter pressed against the cage.
Fletcher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Porter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fletcher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Porter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fletcher somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Porter misses with a few strikes there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fletcher. Porter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fletcher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Porter's waist but Porter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fletcher off to one side. Porter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fletcher is fending him off so far but Porter persists. Nope, Fletcher circles away and we're back to standing. Fletcher fails to land the takedown. Porter throws a combination. Fletcher tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Fletcher fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Porter avoids it really well and circles away. Fletcher closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
And that's the end of the fight! Trip Porter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Porter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
