Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carver Cade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Luke Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Carver Cade! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cade checks the leg kick. Cade tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones tries to counter with a takedown but Cade is quick to defend against it. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Cade - that will leave a mark!
Cade tries to score with a low kick but Jones moves his leg out of the way. Cade getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Cade misses with a straight right. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Cade. Jones tries to score with a low kick but Cade moves his leg out of the way. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cade throws out a counter right but Jones avoids it with no problem. Cade lands the left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cade missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Jones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cade. Cade obviously looking to wear him down.
Jones seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A clash of legs there as Jones blocks the low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jab, jab by Cade - just one landing. Jones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Nice uppercut lands for Cade. That snapped Jones's head back.
Jones feints and then cracks Cade's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cade down. Cade throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it. Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Cade. Cade gets slowly back to his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Cade enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cade manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jones throws an elbow that misses. Cade uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Cade!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cade pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Jones is controlling Cade's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cade trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cade preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cade swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cade pulls Jones in to control the position. Cade trying to control the position.
Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cade keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones throws an elbow that misses. Cade uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Cade!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cade throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Cade working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cade trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Cade uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cade misses with a jab to the body
and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Luke Jones will probably get the nod. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cade sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cade is looking to clinch. Jones changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Cade throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range. Cade attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Jones feinted with a counter takedown. Cade takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jones looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cade. Cade throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Cade trying to control the position here. Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cade's head. Jones trying to control but Cade is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cade wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Cade is retaining full guard. Cade is trying to keep Jones in close.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Luke Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jones throws a quick inside leg kick. Jones drops his hands momentarily and Cade takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Cade throws a leg kick and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. Cade sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Cade is trying to get back to full guard. Jones with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cade is holding on to half guard well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Cade is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones works his foot free and advances to mount. Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cade suckers Jones into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Cade is now in Jones's guard!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones pulls Cade in to control the position. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Cade defends easily.

Luke Jones dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A good leg kick by Jones. Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Cade on that attempt. Jones throws a lazy right hand but Cade sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cade! But no joy. A slow jab from Cade misses its intended target. Jones half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Cade. Cade is looking to score with low kicks. Jones feinted with a counter takedown. Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cade on his heels. He'll look to pass Cade's guard now, I'm sure. Cade wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jones is really dominating this fight. Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Carver Cade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones lands a jab. Jones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Cade looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming. Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Cade sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice straight punches there by Cade. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cade. A jab from Cade finds it's way through Jones's defenses. Jones motions for Cade to come forward. Jones throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jones blocks a jab. Cade tries a low kick but Jones avoids it. Cade tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cade is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones. Cade feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf. Cade misses with a body shot.

Carver Cade really dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cade tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Cade. Jones tries for a takedown but Cade sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cade misses with a wild body shot. Cade lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cade misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.

A punch lands to the side of Jones 's head but he takes it in his stride. Cade looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Cade misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones cracks Cade with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Cade. Cade gets slowly back to his feet. Jones attempts a counter takedown but Cade avoids it well and moves away. Cade misses with a body punch
and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cade is not content to let Jones control the position. Cade is looking for a sweep. Cade is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jones is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cade wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones working the ground and pound effectively.

Cade is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jones thowing shots but they're missing. Cade wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jones.

Luke Jones had his way with Carver Cade in that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Cade closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Cade's belly button to the back. Cade shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones blocks a jab. Jones feinted with a counter takedown. Cade lands a slapping body shot.
Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The fighters circle momentarily. Cade darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jones looks to throw the jab but Cade is out of range.

Cade throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jones takes one to the chin there. Cade connects with a crisp jab. Nice body kick there by Jones. A slow jab from Cade misses its intended target. Cade shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Luke Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carver Cade. Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Carver Cade has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cade lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Carver Cade. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fight is ruled a draw! Luke Jones retains his title. It's always disappointing when a championship fight ends as a draw but that's what happens when you leave the fight in the judges hands!
