Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacks Sole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Azeredo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azeredo has chosen "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede as his entrance music. Antonio Azeredo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Azeredo keeps the fight on the outside. Azeredo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Azeredo scores with a jab to the jaw. We've been hearing reports that Sole has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Azeredo shoots in but Sole avoids the takedown attempt easily. Azeredo displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Azeredo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sole on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sole lands with a shot to the body. Sole throws a big shot that misses. Sole moves away from the strike by Azeredo. Sole connects with a solid leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Azeredo scores with a hook. A clash of legs there as Azeredo blocks the low kick. Azeredo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sole but Sole pushes him off and we're back to square one. No joy there for Sole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sole looks to throw the jab but Azeredo is out of range. Azeredo lands a nice hook to Sole's body. Sole takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Azeredo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jacks Sole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Azeredo. Azeredo scores with a punch to the head. No luck for Azeredo with that takedown attempt. A punch combination from Sole misses. Sole moves out of range of the strikes. Azeredo moves away from the strike by Sole. Azeredo gets caught flat footed, as Sole shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Azeredo has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sole has passed into side control.
Sole tries to move to mount but Azeredo blocks the move with his legs. Azeredo is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sole trying to control the position but Azeredo is working away. Sole tries for a kimura but Azeredo is defending well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Azeredo sneaks back into half guard. Azeredo tries to roll over but Sole keeps him under control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Azeredo can do anything to dispel that myth. Azeredo is looking to control Sole's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Azeredo avoid being mounted? Azeredo is looking for a sweep. Sole is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sole missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Azeredo is looking to improve his position.
Sole is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Azeredo defends it well. Sole is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Azeredo has managed to free his arm - good work. Sole trying to pass the guard but Azeredo defending well. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Azeredo is defending against the submission attempts here by Sole.
Sole trying to control the action but Azeredo is working from the bottom. Azeredo is trying to control but can't.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sole ducks under a wild hook from Azeredo. Azeredo slips a straight right by Sole. Azeredo walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sole. Azeredo misses with the combination.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jacks Sole will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A looping hook to the body misses from Sole. Azeredo does a little dance to reset his feet. Sole moves out of range as Azeredo strikes. A head kick from Sole lands but Azeredo takes it in his stride. Azeredo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Sole lands a nice hook to Azeredo's body. Azeredo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Azeredo swings for the body but Sole moves out of range.

Sole connects with a leg kick. Azeredo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Sole fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Azeredo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Azeredo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sole sees it coming and avoids it easily. and Sole takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've been informed that Azeredo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sole moves out of range of the strikes. Sole with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Azeredo misses with an uppercut. Sole saw that one coming. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sole.

Sole thows a left - swing and a miss! Sole throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sole is looking to wear down Azeredo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Sole lands with a straight right. Azeredo didn't see that one coming. Sole throws a nice outside leg kick. A slow jab from Azeredo misses its intended target. Sole is looking to clinch but Azeredo is avoiding it.
Sole closes the distance and clinches up with Azeredo, looking for a takedown. Sole pushes Azeredo against the cage but Azeredo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Azeredo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Azeredo lands a glancing blow to the side of Sole's head. Azeredo throws a hook but Sole avoids it easily. Azeredo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sole.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Azeredo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sole scores with a nice head shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Azeredo takes one to the chin there. An inside leg kick lands from Sole. A telegraphed right hand from Azeredo misses the target. Sole misses with a looping right. Azeredo misses with a takedown attempt - Sole sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jacks Sole is winning the standup battle so far. Azeredo misses with a hook. Azeredo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sole throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sole throws an overhand right that lands on Azeredo's shoulder, as Azeredo tries to avoid the shot. The fighters circling - Azeredo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Azeredo takes a swing at Sole's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sole throws out a loose jab but Azeredo uses good head movement to avoid it. A jab lands there for Azeredo. Donk. Sole catches Azeredo right on the button with a cross. Azeredo connects with a crisp jab. Azeredo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Azeredo just misses with a punch to the body.
A left lands for Sole. Azeredo misses with an uppercut. Sole saw that one coming. Sole chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sole.
Sole walks into a jab. Sole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Azeredo.
Azeredo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A looping hook to the body misses from Azeredo. Sole does a little dance to reset his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Decent striking displayed by Azeredo there. Horrible takedown attempt by Azeredo or perhaps it was just good defense by Sole, which made it look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sole buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Azeredo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sole can pounce on him.
Azeredo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sole stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Azeredo swings widly with a right hand
and Sole counters with a nice leg kick. Sole lands with a nice body kick. Sole tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Azeredo was well out of range. Poor timing from Sole. Sole thumps Azeredo with a low kick. Azeredo takes one on the button. Sole lands a nice hook to Azeredo's body. Azeredo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A chopping leg kick lands by Sole. Sole misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Azeredo.
Sole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sole throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacks Sole dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Sole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Azeredo can do to turn this around? Azeredo lands with a cross. Sole connects with an inside leg kick. Azeredo slips under a jab from Sole. Sole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Azeredo.

and Azeredo counters with a nice body shot. Sole misses with a takedown attempt - Azeredo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sole pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Azeredo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sole moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Azeredo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sole. Azeredo throws a body punch but Sole moves out of range. Azeredo dodges the punch combination from Sole.
Sole is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Azeredo's half guard. Azeredo is defending against the submission attempts here by Sole.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Azeredo is looking for a sweep. Sole is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sole content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Sole is working for a submission of some sort.
Azeredo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sole is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Azeredo is just riding it out for now. Sole eventually gives up the hold. Antonio Azeredo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Azeredo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Azeredo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sole moves nicely into side control. Sole landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sole working away. Sole works to advance to full mount. Azeredo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Sole in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Sole jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Azeredo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Azeredo and Sole has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sole lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Jacks Sole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sole lands a decent elbow from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sole has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Azeredo! Azeredo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sole takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacks Sole showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sole has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
