Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yodthanong Photirat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapda Mattus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mattus has chosen My heart as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yodthanong Photirat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapda Mattus! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Photirat, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Photirat falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mattus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mattus is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mattus is trying to control. Photirat wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mattus takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mattus is thwarting Photirat's attempts to control the position. Mattus missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mattus tries to pass to full mount but Photirat defends it. Photirat is not content to let Mattus control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mattus keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mattus is trying to control the action in half guard but Photirat is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mattus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mattus is thwarting Photirat's attempts to control the position. Mattus thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Photirat's head.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Photirat with a lazy takedown attempt and Mattus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Photirat's guard. Mattus trying to control the position from guard on top but Photirat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mattus looking to pass the guard. Mattus trying to control but Photirat is working from the bottom. Mattus lands a couple of elbows. Mattus controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mattus tries to free his leg and advance position but Photirat is retaining full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mattus scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mattus wants to control from the top but Photirat keeps moving. Mattus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mattus throwing strikes but missing. Photirat is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Photirat misses with the combination.
Mattus dives in and grabs Photirat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Photirat pushes down on Mattus's head and hops out. Mattus blocks a head kick by Photirat.
Mattus closes the distance and clinches. Photirat prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mattus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A left and a right from Photirat both land. Nice combination. Mattus has closed the distance and engaged Photirat in a clinch.
Photirat is trying to break the clinch but Mattus has him pressed against the cage. Knees to the body from Mattus.
Our sources have told us that Photirat has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mattus prevents Photirat from breaking the clinch. Photirat tries to break the clinch but Mattus is controlling the position. Photirat wants to get back to striking at distance but Mattus won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tapda Mattus dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Photirat throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mattus changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Photirat throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Mattus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mattus wants to control from the top but Photirat keeps moving. Mattus wants to pass the guard but Photirat is keeping the position. Mattus postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Mattus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Photirat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mattus is looking to work some ground and pound but Photirat has wrist control. Mattus postures up in Photirat's guard and throws a big left but Photirat blocks it. Mattus throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Photirat works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tapda Mattus has got the better of the ground game so far. Mattus working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Photirat working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mattus. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mattus. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Mattus landing with the ground and pound. Mattus trying to control the position from guard on top but Photirat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mattus is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick misses from Photirat. Photirat misses with a few strikes there.
Mattus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Photirat avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mattus. Mattus tries for a kimura but Photirat is defending well. Photirat is not content to let Mattus control the position. Mattus has an Americana. Photirat didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mattus is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mattus hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tapda Mattus! A relieved looking Tapda Mattus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
