The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabrol drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sabrol.

Daia buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Daia throws a right and a left that Sabrol avoids nicely.

Daia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sabrol.

Memian Daia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sabrol lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Daia throws a right and a left that Sabrol avoids nicely.
Daia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sabrol moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sabrol lands a with a good body shot.

Sabrol is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Daia throws a combination that misses
letting Sabrol counter with a right hand.
Sabrol throws a lazy head kick
and Daia counters with a body kick that stops Sabrol in his tracks momentarily.
Sabrol closes the distance looking to clinch
and Daia counters with a good low kick that Sabrol was not able to check.
Daia fakes the leg kick and cracks Sabrol in the body.
Sabrol is breathing heavily.
A combination from Daia does no damage.
Daia fails to land with a series of punches.
Sabrol ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daia moves away.
Sabrol misses with a takedown attempt - Daia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Daia moves out of range of the body kick from Sabrol.
A slapping body kick lands there for Daia.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sabrol jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Daia connects with a solid leg kick.
Daia throws a right and a left that both miss.
Daia misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Memian Daia dominated that round.

Daia pushes Sabrol away with a front kick.
Sabrol throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Daia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Daia content just to control the position here.
Sabrol holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Daia tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Sabrol regains half guard.
Daia is working for a kimura but Sabrol is defending it quite comfortably.
Sabrol gets back to full guard.

Sabrol looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sabrol throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sabrol throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Daia postures up.
Daia trying to control but Sabrol is working from the bottom.
Sabrol is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Daia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sabrol is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Daia is just riding it out for now. Sabrol eventually gives up the hold.
Daia is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Sabrol has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Daia is tapping! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Ricardo Sabrol!
