Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominic Toretto! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker has closed the distance and engaged Toretto in a clinch.
A shot in the inside from Walker. Walker dodges an elbow strike from Toretto.
Toretto fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Toretto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Toretto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A jab from Walker misses. Walker dives in and scores a takedown into Toretto's guard. Toretto avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Toretto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Walker with a flurry of punches that miss. Toretto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Toretto not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Toretto wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Brandon Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker misses with a head kick.
Toretto fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Walker to the ground. Toretto is now in Walker's guard. Toretto has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Walker is proving hard to escape from. Toretto preventing the sweep. Toretto stays in close to Walker's body and controls the position. Toretto won't allow Walker to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Walker holds on and takes a little breather. Toretto won't allow Walker to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Walker slaps away a takedown attempt from Toretto, before circling back to the center of the mat. A looping hook to the body misses from Walker. Toretto does a little dance to reset his feet. Toretto slips under a jab. Walker misses the shot to the body. Walker lands with a kick to the temple. Toretto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Toretto shoots in and drives through. Walker sprawls well. Brandon Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Toretto. Toretto dodges the punch combination from Walker.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Walker was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Walker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walker digs a good hook to Toretto's body.
Toretto shoots in but no luck this time. Walker chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Toretto scores with a takedown into Walker's guard. Toretto missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Toretto is looking to work some ground and pound but Walker has wrist control. Walker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Walker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toretto wants to stand but Walker is controlling his posture from full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Walker is on top in guard.
Toretto is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Walker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Walker wants to control from the top but Toretto keeps moving. Toretto is looking to stand up but Walker isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Walker dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Walker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walker wants it to stay on the feet. Toretto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walker circles away. Walker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Toretto. Brandon Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Toretto. Horrible takedown attempt by Toretto or perhaps it was just good defense by Walker, which made it look bad. Walker scores with a head kick.
Walker throws a head kick that misses. Toretto shoots in for a double leg but Walker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Toretto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker scores with a body shot.
Walker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Toretto on the side of the head. Toretto takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Toretto is rocked! and Walker counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Toretto! He's just covering up as Walker starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Walker! Brandon Walker decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
