The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
HASTINGS fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.
HASTINGS clinches with his opponent.
HASTINGS fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
HASTINGS misses with the combination.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
HASTINGS tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.

Johnson is not content to let HASTINGS control the position.
HASTINGS is chipping away with strikes.
HASTINGS has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with HASTINGS. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
