Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Boromir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boromir has chosen Pippin's Song as his entrance music. Will Do has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Captain Boromir!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boromir throws an overhand right that lands on Do's shoulder, as Do tries to avoid the shot.
Do moves out of range as Boromir strikes.
Boromir connects with a good right hand that stumbles Do. Do circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Captain Boromir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boromir looks to score with a jab to the body but Do is just out of range.
Do is looking to counter punch.
Do has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Finland in the buildup to the fight.

Do avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Boromir cracks Do with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Boromir throws a hook to the side of Do's head but Do sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Boromir takes the fight into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Do tries to break free but Boromir pushes him back against the cage.
Boromir lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Boromir misses with a hook from the clinch.
Boromir throws a head punch that misses.
Boromir stops a takedown attempt from Do.
Do is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Boromir is defending well for now.
Boromir swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Do escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boromir uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Do.
Boromir looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Do takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Boromir works the jab nicely.
Boromir ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
No joy there for Do, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Captain Boromir dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Boromir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Do.

A quick step to the side and Do tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Do counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Do has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

The fight stays on the outside here - Boromir looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boromir throws a lazy right hand but Do sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Do takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Do is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Boromir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Do was well out of range. Poor timing from Boromir.
It looked like Do wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Boromir has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boromir throws a shot from downtown. Do moves away and avoids it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice straight punches there by Boromir. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Boromir.

Do is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


Do is rocked!

Do gets tackled into the cage by Boromir. Boromir maintains the clinch.
Oh Do is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boromir tries to work over Do's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Do seems to have got his legs back now.

Do manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Boromir seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Do is on top in guard.


Boromir had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Do defends it easily.
Boromir is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Boromir looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boromir is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boromir is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Do wants to control from the top but Boromir keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Do counters with a good low kick that Boromir was not able to check.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Captain Boromir will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Do's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Do is trying to push Boromir away but Boromir has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Do jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boromir walks away with a smile on his face. Do gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Do. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boromir comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Will Do has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Do looks to land a combination but Boromir avoids it well.

Captain Boromir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Boromir winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
