The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior Shnitkey moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Junior Shnitkey swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanford.
And Junior Shnitkey tries to counter it with a takedown but Sanford pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Junior Shnitkey shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sanford eats them both and turns towards Junior Shnitkey to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Sanford takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanford gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Junior Shnitkey has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sanford tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Sanford breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sanford lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Good leg kick by Sanford there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sanford throws a front kick that sends Junior Shnitkey stumbling back into the cage.

and Sanford makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Sanford ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sanford was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sanford punishes Junior Shnitkey 's body with a nice straight punch.
Sanford is looking to slow Junior Shnitkey down with leg kicks.
Junior Shnitkey tries to score with a low kick but Sanford moves his leg out of the way.
And Sanford counters with a quick kick to the body but Junior Shnitkey blocks it.
Junior Shnitkey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Sanford uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Junior Shnitkey .
Sanford feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Junior Shnitkey 's calf.

and Sanford counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Junior Shnitkey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sanford lands with a kick to the temple. Junior Shnitkey shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Junior Shnitkey is rocked!
Sanford has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sanford lands with a right and another and another! Junior Shnitkey is in big trouble! Sanford lands again and this time it's lights out for Junior Shnitkey ! A quality knockout there for Sanford.
