The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mercer to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mercer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leonard 's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mercer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Leonard is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Mercer.
Let's hope that Mercer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mercer lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Mercer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mercer has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Leonard 's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drederix Mercer dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mercer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mercer wants to pass to mount but Leonard is defending the position.
Mercer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mercer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Mercer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Leonard scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Mercer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Mercer stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drederix Mercer!
As Drederix Mercer got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: This win is proof that I am awesome. Suck it!'.
