Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze comes to the cage accompanied by Tupac ft Lil Mo - Niggaz Nature. Petrov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Iron Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
43 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Blaze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kirill Petrov! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov gets a takedown into half guard. Petrov trying to control the action but Blaze is working from the bottom. Petrov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Petrov tries to pass to full mount but Blaze defends it. Petrov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blaze is looking for a sweep. Petrov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Blaze trying to control but Petrov postures up.
Blaze really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov trying to advance position but Blaze counters by regaining guard. Petrov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blaze, up you get! Alexander Blaze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Petrov dives in for a single leg takedown but Blaze sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Blaze throws a leg kick but Petrov checks it. Petrov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blaze as he jumps to the side. Petrov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Blaze regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Petrov.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrov postures up.
Petrov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Petrov works a leg free and moves into half guard. Petrov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Petrov is working for a kimura but Blaze is defending it quite comfortably.
Petrov is taking a breather. Blaze says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov throwing shots but Blaze is blocking nicely. Petrov wants to take a breather but Blaze is having none of it. Petrov is thwarting Blaze's attempts to control the position. Blaze regains full guard. Nicely done. Petrov slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petrov working over Blaze with some ground and pound. Blaze looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Blaze wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blaze trying to control here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Blaze is not content to let Petrov control the position. Petrov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Petrov prevents Blaze from standing back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A nice inside leg kick there by Blaze. That's going to slow Petrov down. Blaze connects with a right hand. Petrov shakes it off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Petrov shoots for a double leg takedown but Blaze sprawls well. He's pushed Petrov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Alexander Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirill Petrov. Petrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Petrov tries to free his leg and advance position but Blaze is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kirill Petrov dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Petrov fails with the takedown and Blaze counters with a nice uppercut. Petrov just misses with a punch to the body.
Blaze is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Petrov. Petrov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Blaze lands with a thumping leg kick.
Petrov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Blaze counters with a left and a right that stings Petrov. Petrov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blaze defends well and Petrov ends up having to push Blaze into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Blaze definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Alexander Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirill Petrov. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kirill Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blaze swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Petrov. Blaze avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Petrov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Petrov shoots in and drives through. Blaze sprawls well. Petrov fails with a takedown attempt. As Petrov backs away, Blaze returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Petrov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blaze as he jumps to the side. Petrov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Blaze counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Petrov tries for a takedown but Blaze circles away easily and Blaze makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Petrov really felt that one! Blaze throws a combination that misses and Petrov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blaze's guard. Petrov trying to control but Blaze is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaze pulls Petrov in to control the position. Blaze wants to sweep here but Petrov controlling him for the moment. Blaze looking to control.
Blaze wants to sweep but no luck. Blaze has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Blaze controls Petrov momentarily but Petrov frees himself.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov looks for a takedown but Blaze sprawls well. Blaze misses with a kick to the body.
Petrov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blaze tries to avoid it but Petrov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blaze to the ground. Blaze escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Petrov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Blaze is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Petrov jumps into side control! Blaze is looking to regain half guard here but Petrov keeps moving and retains side control. Petrov trying to control the position but Blaze is working away. Petrov controls the position from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blaze is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petrov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blaze, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petrov trying to control the position but Blaze is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Blaze dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Petrov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blaze sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Petrov somewhat. Petrov walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Petrov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Blaze quickly recovers to half guard. Petrov is looking to take a break and control but Blaze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Petrov not landing any meaningful shots this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Blaze reverses the position - he's now on top in Petrov's guard. Petrov is looking for a triangle here but Blaze uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov is looking for a sweep. Petrov struggling a bit here. Petrov manages to get back to half guard. Petrov tries to get to full guard but Blaze has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Petrov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blaze is working away from the top position though. Petrov is looking to improve his position.
Petrov is refusing to be controlled, as Blaze sits in half guard. Petrov wants to improve his position but Blaze is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov trying to hold on to Blaze's head to control him but Blaze postures up.
Petrov gets back to full guard.
Our spies down at at Reign in Blood inform us that Petrov has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Blaze wants to get up but he can't break Petrov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Petrov wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Petrov with a poor takedown and Blaze makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Petrov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blaze is fending him off so far but Petrov persists. Nope, Blaze circles away and we're back to standing. Alexander Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirill Petrov.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Both fighters circling a little - Petrov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Blaze fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Petrov is out of range. Petrov checks a low kick from Blaze. Blaze is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Petrov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blaze as he avoids it easily. Petrov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Petrov with a lazy takedown attempt and Blaze counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Blaze throws a shot to the body.
Blaze works Petrov's body with a nice hook. Blaze throws a quick inside leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Petrov is defended easily by Blaze. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petrov tries for a takedown but Blaze circles away easily and Blaze counters with a straight right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Blaze showed his dominance in that final round. I think Blaze has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
