The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corvus thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nichols checks a leg kick nicely.
Corvus throws a big shot that misses.
Nichols shoots in but no luck this time.
Nichols takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Corvus with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Corvus breaks the clinch.

Corvus looking to score a takedown here. Nichols is defending well but Corvus drives through and ends up in Nichols's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corvus trying to control the position from guard on top but Nichols is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Corvus throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nichols works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Corvus postures up in Nichols's guard and throws a big left but Nichols blocks it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corvus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Corvus trying to control the position from guard on top but Nichols is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nichols pulls Corvus in close to his closed guard and prevents Corvus from doing any damage or advancing position.
Corvus stands up over Nichols, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corvus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Corvus lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Nichols goes down and covers up as Corvus starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
