Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chauncey Silvestre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Reyes's choice of entrance music: Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalifa. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Chauncey Silvestre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamie Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvestre steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Reyes. That one must have hurt.
Reyes's corner calls for a 1-2. Reyes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Reyes stuffs the takedown attempt from Silvestre. Silvestre gets slowly back to his feet.
Silvestre on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Reyes has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Silvestre is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Silvestre wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Silvestre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reyes's waist but Reyes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silvestre off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Reyes is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Silvestre had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Silvestre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reyes.
