The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon swats away the attempt to clinch by Icarus.
Icarus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cannon throws out the jab.

A nice side step and Cannon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Icarus scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Icarus loads up on a big right hand but Cannon slips the punch.
Cannon might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Icarus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cannon.

Cannon stalks Icarus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Icarus's face. Icarus staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Icarus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cannon slips a jab and a cross from Icarus.

Cannon tries to keep at a distance but Icarus has taken the fight into the clinch.
Icarus tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Icarus lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Cannon avoids the elbow strike from Icarus, against the cage.

Cannon has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Icarus clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Cannon thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Icarus manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cannon's guard. Nice work there by Icarus.
Icarus passes Cannon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cannon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Icarus pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Icarus misses with a punch to the body.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Icarus.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Icarus creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Cannon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Icarus pulls his leg out and moves away.
Laz Icarus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Cannon.
Icarus Rushes Cannon and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Cannon is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Icarus Piles on the pressure and Cannon crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
