The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Burns closes the distance and clinches up with Akash, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes Akash against the cage but Akash circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Burns scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've been hearing reports that Akash has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
