The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws the left hand but Murphy avoids the punch easily.
Murphy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Murphy tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Murphy stuffs the takedown attempt from Thomas. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.
Thomas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Murphy landing knees to the body.
Thomas is breathing heavily.
The referee calls for Murphy to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murphy has Thomas pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Thomas is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Murphy - that's hurt Thomas badly! Oh, another knee lands and Thomas is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Thomas doesn't seem to be complaining.
