Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Ken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Peters!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters fails with a takedown attempt.
Ken stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Peters.
Peters tries to clinch but Ken moves out of range.
Peters closes the distance and clinches up with Ken, looking for a takedown. Peters pushes Ken against the cage but Ken circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ken throws a right and a left that Peters avoids nicely.
A nice combination there by Ken.


It looks like Rick Peters has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Ken, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Peters shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ken on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ken tries to get out of the position.
Ken is staying active underneath Peters, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ken lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ken.

Nice combo by Ken! Oh, that's hurt him - Peters falls to the canvas and Ken follows him into side control.

That has opened up Rick Peters's cut even more.

Ken decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Ken slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Ken connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Peters momentarily.
Ken cracks Peters with an uppercut from hell and Peters crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ken's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Peters is still in real trouble! Can Ken finish him?
Ken has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ken stands up from Peters's guard - Ken perhaps looking for a knockout.
Peters seems to have recovered his senses.
Ken throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ken bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Peters's head.
Peters closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ken circles away.
Don Ken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Peters.
Ken throws a leg kick which misses Peters's front leg but catches the back leg as Peters tries to avoid it.

Peters takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Don Ken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peters tries to clinch up but Ken circles away and keeps his distance.
Ken keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Peters has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ken finds it's way round the side to connect with Peters's head.
Ken is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peters can do to turn this around?

Ken throws a left that rocks Peters and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ken dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Peters regain composure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ken moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Ken scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ken throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Peters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
