Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kendrick George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Susan Gregory!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gregory closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into George's guard.
George working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gregory.
Gregory is fighting to break George's control of his arms but George is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
George keeping full guard, as Gregory tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
George pulls Gregory in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gregory loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

George has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gregory can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gregory is looking to advance position but George won't allow it.
George moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've been informed that Gregory has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
George is adopting a defensive guard.
Gregory sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed George's guard.

George is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gregory fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging George to the ground. Gregory is now in George's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Gregory closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gregory lands in his opponent's guard.

Gregory closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming George to the mat! George manages to get full guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Gregory shoots in and gets a takedown into George's guard.
George seems keen to control Gregory's posture.
George's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gregory postures up in George's guard and throws a big left but George blocks it.
George is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
George shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gregory defends it nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

George tries to keep at a distance but Gregory has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gregory can't break the clinch.

Gregory breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

George gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Susan Gregory showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! George's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Gregory has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

George would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
George has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gregory is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Susan Gregory comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gregory has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
