Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Durham will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuri Boyka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Durham!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boyka's waist but Boyka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Durham off to one side.
Durham wants to clinch but Boyka slips to the side
and Boyka counters with a three punch combo that has Durham backing up. Durham nods at Boyka to acknowledge the strikes.
Durham misses the jab.
Boyka gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Boyka decides to pull guard.
Durham throws a big elbow that misses.
Durham has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Durham throws a strike but Boyka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Durham looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Durham had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boyka defends it easily.
Boyka controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Boyka seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Durham for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boyka is pushing down on Durham's leg trying to pass to half guard. Durham is fighting to maintain full guard but Boyka has managed to sneak the leg through.
Durham pushes Boyka off looking to stand but Boyka dives back in and keeps control.

Boyka passes into side control, despite Durham's attempt to control the position.

Durham is looking to get back to his feet here but Boyka is keeping cool and he's managed to take Durham's back.

Boyka is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Boyka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Durham trying to get back to his feet but Boyka is in full control for now.
I would not like to be Durham right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyka is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Durham is trying to get back to his feet but Boyka has full control of the position and if anything, Durham has just worked his way into a worse spot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Durham shoots in for a takedown but Boyka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Durham lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Durham misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Durham tries to clinch up
and Boyka counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boyka shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Durham manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Durham throws his legs up looking for a submission but Boyka uses it to pass to side control.
Boyka prevents Durham from escaping the position.

Boyka decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Durham goes for a double leg but Boyka avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boyka continues to drive forward.
Boyka scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Boyka stops a takedown attempt from Durham.
Yuri Boyka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Durham.
Durham blocks an uppercut.
Boyka lands with a right to the head.
Boyka has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Durham uses from the top position.

Boyka is looking to stand up but Durham isn't so interested in that idea.

Durham is looking for a sweep. Boyka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Boyka displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Durham.

Durham cracks Boyka with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Durham takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Durham throws a nice looking combination but Boyka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
