Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joaquim Antunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane has chosen Way of The Ninja as his entrance music. Ichabod Crane has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joaquim Antunes! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ichabod Crane! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crane connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Antunes momentarily.

so Antunes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Antunes stays in close to Crane's body and controls the position. Antunes is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Antunes pushes down on Crane's leg and manages to get into half guard. Antunes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crane with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Antunes passes to full mount! Antunes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Antunes landing shots from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Antunes landing strikes, looking to finish! Crane is wriggling around trying to escape.
A nice elbow there by Antunes. Antunes landing strikes, looking to finish! Antunes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Antunes is landing with some decent strikes but Crane is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Antunes fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Antunes lands a big shot there that rocks Crane but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Crane is rocked! Antunes is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Crane can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Crane is still in real trouble! Can Antunes finish him? Antunes postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Crane bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Antunes and the fight is over!
