Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Misha Stupko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jonah Sorentino! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stupko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sorentino sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. We've been hearing reports that Stupko has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stupko is defended easily by Sorentino. Sorentino defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stupko. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Misha Stupko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stupko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stupko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stupko shoots in but Sorentino avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stupko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sorentino counters with a left to the body. Stupko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Sorentino as Stupko shoots in. Stupko is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stupko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stupko showed some decent athleticism there. Stupko is working for a kimura but Sorentino is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Stupko is trying to work for a kimura but Sorentino is defending well.
Sorentino is controlling Stupko's trapped leg to prevent Stupko from advancing to side control. Stupko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sorentino is just riding it out for now. Stupko eventually gives up the hold. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stupko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sorentino doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stupko. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stupko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sorentino counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Stupko looks for a takedown but Sorentino sprawls well. Sorentino closes the distance and lands a one-two. Stupko darts in looking for a takedown but Sorentino gets double underhooks and turns Stupko into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Misha Stupko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sorentino stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Stupko is trying to drag Sorentino to the mat but Sorentino just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sorentino's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stupko. Stupko shoots in for a double leg but Sorentino sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sorentino goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Misha Stupko has been cut. Sorentino has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stupko with a poor takedown and Sorentino cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stupko is rocked! Stupko dives in and grabs Sorentino's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sorentino pushes down on Stupko's head and hops out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stupko is defended easily by Sorentino. Sorentino lands a body shot.
Sorentino uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stupko has time to react. Oh Stupko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sorentino feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stupkos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Jonah Sorentino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stupko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sorentino tries to avoid it but Stupko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sorentino to the ground. Sorentino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sorentino drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Stupko right on the button. Stupko goes down! Sorentino follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Sorentino gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonah Sorentino!
