Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomasz Nijynski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chase Evans! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nijynski tries to clinch up. Nijynski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Evans tries for a takedown but Nijynski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Evans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nijynski is fending him off so far but Evans persists. Nope, Nijynski circles away and we're back to standing. Nijynski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Evans is pressing down on Nijynski's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Evans wants to sweep but no luck. Evans is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Evans manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Nijynski in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. A nice elbow there by Evans. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Evans landing shots from mount. Nijynski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nijynski tries to get out of the position. Evans lands a big elbow.
Nijynski is rocked! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Evans postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Nijynski bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Evans and the fight is over!
