Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matel Huchkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dead Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Blake! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matel Huchkov! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blake keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Huchkov. Blake feinted with a counter takedown. Huchkov is looking to slow Blake down with leg kicks. Huchkov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Huchkov misses with an uppercut. Huchkov tries to clinch and Blake counters with a takedown into side control. Blake thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! Huchkov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huchkov is still trying to improve position. Blake tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Blake moves into full mount! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Huchkov can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Huchkov tries to hold on but Blake pushes him away. Huchkov bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Huchkov preventing the sweep. Blake had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Huchkov defends it easily. Blake wants to hit a switch here but Huchkov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Blake there! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Huchkov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huchkov wants to control the pace but Blake is squirming around nicely. Blake working to try and regain half guard.
Blake gets back to half guard. Blake slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Blake trying to keep a closed guard but Huchkov is proving a slippery customer.
Huchkov trying to control but Blake is working from the bottom. Blake looking for a guillotine here but Huchkov defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huchkov trying to move into half guard but instead Blake has managed to sweep! Blake looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huchkov wants to sweep but no luck. Blake pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Huchkov is keeping the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blake trying to control the position from guard on top but Huchkov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Blake dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Blake stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Huchkov. Huchkov throws a series of strikes that have Blake backpedaling.
Blake walks into a straight right hand from Huchkov. Huchkov looks to throw the jab but Blake is out of range. Blake appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Blake keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Huchkov. Blake throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blake walks into a jab. Blake avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Huchkov throws a big shot that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huchkov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Huchkov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blake. Huchkov throws a half hearted mid kick. Huchkov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blake to score with a decent uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Huchkov misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huchkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blake moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Matel Huchkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blake misses with an uppercut
and Huchkov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Blake tries for a takedown but Huchkov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Blake throws a body shot but no joy. Huchkov moves out of range of the strikes. Huchkov tries to counter with a clinch but Blake shakes him off and moves away. Huchkov throws the left hand but Blake avoids the punch easily. Blake tries to counter with a takedown but Huchkov is quick to defend against it. Blake keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Huchkov. Blake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Huchkov tries to get back to half guard but can't. William Blake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Huchkov is not content to let Blake control the position. A bit of a lull in the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blake is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Huchkov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Blake tries for a kimura but Huchkov is defending well. Huchkov is looking for a sweep. Blake tries to advance to mount but can't. Blake trying to control the position but Huchkov is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blake is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Huchkov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Huchkov tries to buck Blake off but Blake is having none of it. Blake is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Huchkov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Blake gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Huchkov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Blake lets go of the hold and Huchkov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). William Blake! William Blake retains his bantamweight title! Our winner, William Blake, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
