Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Army (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrzej Sternik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Army comes to the cage accompanied by Tiger Army - Incorporeal. Sternik has chosen Skillet - Monster as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiger Army! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrzej Sternik! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sternik shoots in for a double leg but Army sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Army fakes the leg kick and cracks Sternik in the body. Sternik moves out of range as Army throws a body kick.
Army misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sternik looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Sternik sizes up Army with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Army slaps away a takedown attempt from Sternik, before circling back to the center of the mat. Army lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sternik stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Army. Army scores with a decent looking hook. Army feints and then cracks Sternik's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sternik down. Tiger Army seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Army lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Army looks to throw a body kick and Sternik counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. No luck with that takedown attempt from Army. A little jabbing left from Sternik on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Army connects with an inside leg kick. Army rushes Sternik and presses him up against the cage. Army misses with a hook from the clinch. A short right from Army on the inside. Army turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Army sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sternik is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Army throws a strike aimed at the side of Sternik's head but Sternik avoids it well. Army scores with punches from side control. Sternik is looking to regain half guard here but Army keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Sternik's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Army lands some shots froms side control. Sternik manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Army has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sternik wants to pass the guard but Army is defending well. Army is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sternik pulls his head out easily. Army trying to control but Sternik postures up.
Army gets back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Army tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sternik pushes down on Army's leg and manages to get into half guard. Army is controlling Sternik's trapped leg to prevent Sternik from advancing to side control. Army is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sternik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sternik's back! Sternik trying to control but not successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sternik tries to escape the position.
Army is landing with strikes. Sternik can't take much more of this. Sternik is in bad spot here.
Army lands a shot to the head. Army lands with a hammerfist to the side of Sternik's head. Army working for a choke but Sternik is defending well. Sternik is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Army off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Sternik trying to control the action but Army just sinks the hooks in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiger Army dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Army throws a hook to the side of Sternik's head but Sternik sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A solid body kick from Army. Army tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sternik counters with a one-two to the body. Army lands with a nice body kick. Army looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Horrible takedown attempt by Army or perhaps it was just good defense by Sternik, which made it look bad. It seemed like Sternik was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sternik misses with a series of wild punches.

Army is rocked! Army is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sternik can do to turn this around? This has been an exciting period of action! Sternik seems to be looking for submissions.
Oh Army is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sternik is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sternik is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Army regains full guard. Nicely done. Army is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Army looking to control.
Sternik trying to control the position from guard on top but Army is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Army looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sternik is one step ahead there. Sternik trying to control but Army is working from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Army is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sternik controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Army lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Army, right into the meat.
Nice cross by Army. Sternik shoots in but no luck this time. Army motions for Sternik to come forward. Army throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Army shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Tiger Army is winning the standup battle so far. Sternik looks to land a right hand but Army moved out of range. Army changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Army scores with a push kick. Army fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sternik has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Army throws a push kick but Sternik slaps the foot to one side.

Sternik with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Army to score with a decent uppercut. Sternik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Army turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Army swats away the attempt to clinch by Sternik. Sternik lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Tiger Army has been cut. Army throws a nice outside leg kick. Army ducks under a wild hook from Sternik. Army misses with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tiger Army will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tiger Army's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Sternik chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Army can pounce on him.
Sternik throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Army. A head kick misses from Army. Army uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sternik moves out of range as Army throws a body kick.
Sternik has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Army. A slapping leg kick lands for Army.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Army feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sternik is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sternik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Army defends well. Sternik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sternik keeping moving, preventing Army from controlling successfully. Tiger Army overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Army's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Army makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Army lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sternik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Army doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Army manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Andrzej Sternik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tiger Army is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Army's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that's the end of the fight! Tiger Army showed his dominance in that final round. Well Army has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
