Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daiki Tanimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Laston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laston has chosen Ice Cube - Today was a Good Day as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daiki Tanimoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Laston! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laston with a body punch. A glancing blow. Laston throws a right hand that misses
and Tanimoto counters with a nice leg kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Laston crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tanimoto - the referee stops the clock and Laston gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tanimoto. Laston manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tanimoto lands a jab to Laston's midsection. Tanimoto misses with a head kick.
Tanimoto delivers a nice body kick. Laston moves out of range as Tanimoto throws a body kick.

Tanimoto lands with a shot to the body. Laston looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tanimoto jabs at Laston's body. Laston has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Tanimoto. Tanimoto thuds his right hand into Laston's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Laston takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Tanimoto scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Tanimoto throws a head kick that half lands.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tanimoto lands a head kick!
It looks like Josh Laston has been cut. Tanimoto moves into range and clinches up with Laston. Tanimoto has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Laston regains guard immediately. Tanimoto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tanimoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tanimoto works over Laston with some ground and pound from guard. Tanimoto trying to control but Laston is working from the bottom. Tanimoto is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Laston is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tanimoto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanimoto postures up and lands a big shot to Laston's brow. Tanimoto trying to control the position from guard on top but Laston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Laston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tanimoto misses with a body kick. Tanimoto scores with a head kick. Laston tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanimoto moves out of range as Laston throws a body kick.
Tanimoto darts in and clinches Laston up against the cage. Tanimoto has clasped his hands together around Laston's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Tanimoto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Laston has escaped the position, nice work there. Tanimoto advances nicely into full mount. Tanimoto raining down shots from the mount! Laston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanimoto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tanimoto cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Laston is rocked! Tanimoto raining down hammerfists from mount. Laston is still in real trouble! Can Tanimoto finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Laston is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Tanimoto loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Laston scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Tanimoto land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Tanimoto stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daiki Tanimoto! Daiki Tanimoto took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Kore Fight Nutrition [TG] for their support in the buildup to the fight. In defeat, Josh Laston stepped up to the mic, saying 'I loss, so what I will come back, and you will see a better me.'.
