Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyo Shinata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wei Sung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sung has chosen Last Day as his entrance music. Kyo Shinata had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyo Shinata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wei Sung! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sung with a lazy takedown attempt letting Shinata counter with a right hand. Shinata scores with a nice head shot. Sung tries for a takedown but Shinata circles away easily and Sung takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shinata catches Sung with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sung avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shinata connects with a body shot that sends Sung's belly button to the back. Sung tries for a takedown but Shinata circles away easily and Shinata counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kyo Shinata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wei Sung.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sung misses with a takedown attempt and Shinata counters with a straight right hand. Sung doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sung takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sung misses with a takedown and Shinata counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sung walks into a left hand. Shinata is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Sung with a poor takedown and Shinata counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shinata is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Shinata misses with an uppercut. Sung drives through with a takedown into Shinata's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinata keeping moving, preventing Sung from controlling successfully. Shinata on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shinata tries to get out of the position. Sung stops Shinata from standing up. Sung stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sung tries to move into range but Shinata moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sung moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Sung misses with a takedown and Shinata counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sung shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shinata counters with a nice uppercut. Sung should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sung tries for a takedown but Shinata circles away easily and Shinata connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sung shoots and misses and Shinata counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sung misses with a takedown attempt and Shinata counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sung gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Shinata counters with a nice uppercut. Shinata is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Sung looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shinata gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Shinata wants to stand and escape but Sung is having none of it. Shinata knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sung on the ground. Shinata is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sung dives into side control.
Shinata looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Sung is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Shinata is trying to escape and Sung transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Shinata is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sung! Very nice indeed!
